History
Smurfit Kappa Ania is one of the leading recycled paper producers in Italy.
The plant site was developed gradually from 1948 through to today. Straw pulp-based fluting production on PM1 started in 1952-1953; PM2 began operating in 1968 and PM3 in 1975. In 2003 major investments were made in new completely up to date equipment. Today, a new 800 tons/day pulper is the heart of the mill.
The paper mill occupies a site of approximately 100,000 m2 and there is a total workforce of 130 employees.
The yearly paper production is close to 200.000 tons, based 100% on recycled fibres. The main products are wellenstoff and testliner.
